Action Plastics is a privately owned, New Zealand company that has been operating in the plastics industry for over 40 years. Based in Christchurch we offer a full range of innovative and standard solutions for your individual project and business needs. We are the experts when it comes to plastic manufacturing.

Our team can take an idea or concept through the complete process; from initial discussions to design drawings, product development, rapid prototyping (3D Printing), tooling and product manufacture, plus much, much more. Action Plastics is recognised as an industry leader and collaborate with the Ministry for Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE), as well as Callaghan Innovation.

Our production techniques ensure quality products are consistently manufactured to the highest standard. Solutions based, we offer a variety of services to meet all your commercial, industrial or private requirements. Our Team.

The Action team is a collection of ninja product developers and manufacturers, with iterative mindsets. They also do stuff like ride mountain bikes, collect strange things, race cars, play video-games, and secretly wear super-hero costumes under their day clothes!

General Manager

Stephen is our strategic mastermind. His MO is clear communication and an energetic spirit. He inspires our team by setting goals to keep pushing our team to achieve the best outcomes, growing our reputation and business.

Sean Dreyer

Projects Manager

Sean is our super-hero in disguise, a miracle worker with his ability to make connections and to decipher design ideas. He is curious and focused, always magically finding the best path forward for our customers.

Andy Strachan

Operations Manager

Andy is a ninja when it comes to handling all that goes on behind the scenes. His legendary organisational, planning and communication abilities keep our production schedule running smoothly.

Sarah Powers

Administration Manager

Sarah is Action Plastics secret weapon. The Sergeant in arms charged with keeping the Action platoon in line. She knows what’s happening and when. Sarah is Action’s “go-to girl” who juggles a wide range of diverse tasks to ensure the smooth running of the office.

Recognising and applying sustainable principles into the manufacture, distribution, use and recovery of plastics to our business will better position Action to deliver innovative materials, products and technology.

We are committed to drive more sustainable plastic products which will help mitigate climate change, drive waste minimisation and improve resource management. We’re proud to have taken measures to stop microplastics leaving our manufacturing plant from entering Canterbury’s waterways by jumping on board with Operation Clean Sweep, and initiative by Plastics NZ.
